I didn't realize it had been so long since I posted, but there it is. I’m back now. Let’s catch up with the last year!
Splendid Sampler
I finished all 5 Splendid Samplers (the original sew-along). Others made one large quilt with the 100 blocks. Mine weren’t playing nice with each other, so I split them into 5 color groups to make small wall hanging size quilts.
Magnolia Mystery Quilt
Sewed along with Cheryl from Meadow Mist Design and completed my Magnolia Mystery Quilt top in December. It took until this summer to decide on a quilting scheme and finally finished it in September.
All The Rest
So the rest of what quilting I've been up to is on Instagram, look at my account: @formicabeth.
There were 2 very large events in my life this year that kept me from blogging:
I've been keeping my hand at it by doing One Monthly Goal with Patty at Elm Street Quilts: you pick one goal for the month and try to reach it. I've been picking small things. And I have been finishing projects because of it. Give it a try if you haven't--I find it very helpful.
I'll try to post weekly from now on. Thanks for stopping by!
There were 2 very large events in my life this year that kept me from blogging:
- At the end of April I quit smoking. Yeah healthy me!!!!
Any ex-smoker will tell you that certain activities must be avoided to maintain your non-smoking status & sitting at my computer was one of them! I stayed away for a solid month, until I was kept away by... - A freak accident at work in which I broke 5 or 6 bones, torn a ligament and dislocated my entire ankle. Surgery that evening, then home the next day to start a very long recovery. I had never broken anything before and had no idea how much it would take to heal. I am 5 months since the day and still cannot walk normally. I'm told it may take a year to fully heal. I chose not to write on & on about it here. But what quilting/sewing I did do this summer was #oneleggedquilting!
