About Me
I'm an artist, wife and mother of 2 teenagers. I have a Bachelor's of Science in Graphic Design. I've worked as a Graphic Designer, Art Director, Website Administrator and Manager, Marketing & Sales Manager and Household Goddess.
I formally learned how to sew at a Sears class when I was 12, and come from a family of sewers. I sew clothes, accessories and housewares. I taught myself cross stitch in my teen years and have a project in the works at all times.
My camera is always close at hand. There are intriguing sights everywhere & I capture as many as I can for design ideas. And just for the beauty of it all.
I love my flower and veg gardens and spend the summer tending and weeding them (and the winter re-planning them). I can/pickle/freeze what grows in my gardens. I dry herbs and flowers for cooking.
I finished my first quilt in 1988--queen sized, hand-sewn and hand-quilted. Quickly after I made several baby quilts and a wedding quilt for my sister. I was hooked! Now I design quilts, making them for myself and my family, and hopefully, through this Blog, sharing my creative designs and discoveries with you.
