I know, everything around the registers are "Impulse Items," put there to make you pick it up while you wait. As a Marketing Professional, I LOVE the Impulse Items! As a Mom with kids, I HATE them! I usually stand there sneering at them and refusing to pick up anything. But this one got me. Bright colors & a rubbery end that looks like a honey-dipper.
I choose the pink one--the other choice was chartreuse & my mini-bucket of sewing gadgets is chartreuse, so the pink will show up in there. When I got home, I put it away and haven't used it since. My regular ripper is right next to my machine & I use what's at hand.
This morning I was working out how to sew a curved seam without pinning. I was standing at my cutting area contemplating 2 seams that were just test runs, and bad ones at that. Should I rip and try again or cut new fabric? I decided to rip & used the new "Seam-Fix" ripper right there in my bucket. And that fun honey-dipper! It's meant to remove all the little pieces of thread. You just wipe it over them & they pull right out. And it really works! I was using it on curved and biased cuts, so I was being very careful not to stretch the fabric, but even then it worked really great. It now lives next to my machine--and I will be using it all the time! It's a honey of a ripper!
Hey, I think I just named it: Honey!
